No current legislation specifically mandating Personal Finance Education requirement.

Curriculum:
Commissioner's Regulation 100.5 mandates that all students first entering grade 9 in 1985 and thereafter must earn a half-unit of credit in economics or its equivalent. The course Economics, the Enterprise System, and Finance is intended to be used to meet the curriculum mandate of the Board of Regents, and includes references to the National Voluntary Standards for Teaching Economics and to the Jump$tart Coalition Personal Financial Management Guidelines.
