On June 17, 2009, the New Jersey State Board of Education adopted a requirement for students to earn 2.5 credits in financial, economic, business, and entrepreneurial literacy.
N.J.A.C. 6A:8 identifies graduation requirements for New Jersey students. It includes requirements for an integrated understanding of personal financial literacy, life and career planning, and creative entrepreneurial thinking that are necessary for optimal participation in the dynamic 21st century environment.
Personal Finance Education required in seperate one semester course or as part of an elective course that implements all core content standards.
