The primary mission of this not-for-profit organization is to enhance the level of financial and economic literacy of individuals and households in the United States and promote professional development at the initial stage of career development and mid-level management. The Society for Financial Education and Professional Development, Inc. (SFEPD) specifically:
1. Provides financial education to individuals and households in the areas of credit and personal money management, investments, estate planning, financial planning, and entrepreneurship through its “Mind Over Money Skills” program;
2. Develops and presents customized financial and economic education through a variety of learning resources and techniques; and
3. Provides professional development training to those individuals who are at the initial stage of career development.
Established in 1998, The Society was organized and operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and does not engage in any activity, which is not permitted by an organization exempt from taxation under Section 501(a) as an organization described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
