The Tennessee Jump$tart Excellence in Teaching Persoanl Finance Teacher of the Year Awards is a recognition program for outstanding teachers of personal finance. Recipient(s) will be selected based on successful accomplishments in innovation and creativity realted to teaching personal finance, teaching methods and strategies, standards accomplishments, collaborations, and program results.

Tennessee Jump$tart and Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson were among the honorees at the 2009 Jump$tart Awards Dinner. Tennessee Jump$tart was recognized as the State Coalition of the Year.
