Financial Literacy Organizations Take to the Hill
Jump$tart Annual ‘Hill Day’ features Honorary Co-Hosts U.S. Sens. Jack Reed, Joe Donnelly, Tim Scott  
WASHINGTON (March 29, 2016) – More than 50 organizations – from the business, finance, nonprofit, association, government and academia sectors – will be on Capitol Hill noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, to illustrate the collective effort to improve financial literacy among all Americans. The event, known as Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill (Hill Day) – is a part of Financial Literacy Month, and is free and open to the public. Read the full release.

Jump$tart Coalition Envisions a Financially Literate Future

Jump$tart Coalition to Honor Connecticut Affiliate as State Coalition of the Year

Jump$tart Coalition Lights the Way for Financial Literacy Month 2015

WASHINGTON (March 4, 2015) –The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® has selected U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) to receive its 2015 Federal Leadership Award for his ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy at the state and national levels. Jump$tart Stands Up for Financial Literacy Month 2014
WASHINGTON (March 31, 2014) –The Jump$tart Coalition announced today that it will join its national and state partners in April to "Stand Up for Financial Literacy,"the theme for this year's Financial Literacy Month.  A recent survey conducted online by Harris Poll on behalf of Jump$tart and the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), showed that more than three in five families with kids under the age of 18 (62 percent) had talked about money matters within the past week.  Read the full release.

New Model Standardizes Teacher Training in Personal Finance
WASHINGTON (July 17, 2013) –The Jump$tart Teacher Training Alliance (J$TTA) today announced the release of a new tool designed to strengthen and standardize training for classroom teachers in personal finance. The J$TTA Model will be available to qualified organizations at no cost and will be delivered as a tool-kit, which approved users will access through a private portal on the Jump$tart website. Award-Winning Author and Syndicated Columnist Michelle Singletary to Emcee Annual Awards Dinner
WASHINGTON (April 3, 2013) – The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® marks the start of Financial Literacy Month by announcing that nationally syndicated Washington Post Columnist Michelle Singletary will, once again, emcee Jump$tart’s annual awards dinner on April 23.  Known for her popular column, “The Color of Money,” Ms. Singletary also served as dinner emcee in 2011.
