Museum of American Finance

The Museum of American Finance, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, is the nation’s only public museum dedicated to preserving and presenting the lessons of finance and financial history.  With its extensive collection of financial documents and objects, its seminars and educational programming, its publication and oral history program, the museum portrays the breadth and richness of American financial and economic history.

Financial education is at the core of the museum’s mission, and the concourse level features a state-of-the-art education center. The museum offers numerous education programs taught by museum-trained, leading industry professionals who use inquiry-based discussion to help build critical thinking skills. Courses can be combined with a guided or self-guided museum tour. Classes are ideal for students of all ages, from elementary school through MBA, and are available by appointment Tuesday through Friday.
