Jump$tart is a national nonprofit coalition that unites diverse partners from business, finance, nonprofits, associations, academia, government and other sectors, which share a commitment to financial literacy, especially for our nation’s youth.  Jump$tart welcomes organizations that conduct or support financial education for students to submit an application to join

Individuals and organizations with local or statewide focus are encouraged to join one of Jump$tart's 51 affiliated state coalitions.  Criteria and process may vary from state to state, so contact state coalitions directly.

National Partner Benefits

  • Magnify your impact and reach by teaming up with a pioneer and recognized leader in the financial literacy field.
  • Network with like-minded financial literacy advocates through partner meetings, committee involvement and other activities. 
  • Access government and industry leaders including:
    • Elected officials and appointees (particularly at Hill Day), and 
    • Thought leaders and industry innovators.
  • Showcase financial education products and programs to new audiences and facilitate collaboration—through events, publicationssocial media and jumpstart.org.
  • Stay informed about developments in financial literacy and education, and representation at national and international summits.

Where the Money Goes

  • Raise awareness about the importance of educating our nation’s youth about financial principles—before they make decisions as adult consumers.
  • Lead the discussion on financial literacy. 
  • Promote and distribute the National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education.
  • Administer the Jump$tart Clearinghouse, which contains nearly 1,000 financial education tools that are vetted for effectiveness.
  • Train, motivate and support teachers through our National Educator Conference and other teacher training.
  • Support 51 state coalitions that act as grassroots financial literacy advocates throughout the United States and its territories.
  • Connect partners and financial literacy advocates.
