2015 Jump$tart National Educator Conference

As the nation’s leading advocate for youth financial literacy, the Jump$tart Coalition® will proudly conduct its seventh annual conference devoted specifically to PreK-12 classroom teachers of personal finance on the shores of the Potomac River just south of Washington, DC. This conference offers classroom educators an opportunity to see, learn about, and try educational resources to integrate immediately into current lesson plans; to attend informative workshops under two different strands—curriculum/content and personal growth; to meet with leaders from finance and education; and to network with colleagues from across the country. The Louisiana Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy will be awarding a full scholarship for attendance at the conference to a Louisiana educator in a public, charter, or private school.
The scholarship recipient will receive reimbursement for: airfare, transportation from airport to conference hotel and return trip to airport, and $425 conference registration fee (which includes 2 nights at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center and several meals).
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 15th, 2015. A completed online application along with recommendation emails from your Supervisor and your Principal must be received by the deadline date to be considered. The scholarship winner will be notified by September 22nd via phone.

The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy is a 501-c-3 tax-exempt non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. As a coalition, it is an organization of organizations that share a commitment to advancing financial literacy among pre-school through college-age youth and working collaboratively toward effective financial education. The coalition consists of a network of 51 affiliated state coalitions and their local partners and about 150 national partner organizations from the business, financial, non-profit, association, academic, government, and other sectors.
