The Institute for Socio-Financial Studies takes a cross-disciplinary approach to its research and education by illuminating the human and social concerns within finance and business. It has pioneered work in the psychology of money and the psychology of housing and homeownership.
ISFS assists organizations with the feasibility, strategic planning, and evaluation of consumer financial literacy education. The Institute also works in the areas of health care financing education, the finances of aging, employee workplace financial education, investing in the environment, American Dream studies, and it has sponsored "Mattering Studies" to measure whether and how much people feel valued by organizations as employees and consumers.
