Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo’s success depends on the financial and educational success of the next generation.
Today over half of U.S. high school students graduate without knowing the basics of banking: checking and savings accounts, budgeting, credit, and investing. Twelve million U.S. households — fully one-fourth of all lower-income families — have no relationship with a bank or other mainstream financial service provider.

Where are we helping?

Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement of Alaska offers kindergarten through twelfth grade programs that contain financial literacy components.
In the elementary programs, students learn about being a consumer and worker in our economy.
In the Middle school programs, there is a greater emphasis on personal finance.
At the High school level, we have JA Personal Finance, which is specifically designed to help students gain financial literacy.
