Financial Literacy Month - 2018

As the original promoter of Financial Literacy Month (FLM), Jump$tart Coalition along with its national partners, 51 affiliated state coalitions, financial educators and other members of the financial literacy community, champion a month-long campaign in April to raise public awareness about the importance of financial literacy.

  • Jump$tart Annual Awards DinnerTuesday, April 10, 2018, at the JS Marriott Washington, DC. Reception, 6:00 p.m.; Dinner and Awards, 7:00 p.m.
  • Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill, Thursday, April 12, 2018, 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. Free and open to the public.

Partner Events

  • Money Smart Week is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better manage their personal finances. Programming is offered to all demographics and income levels and covers all facets of personal finance. Partnering organizations will host their events April 21-28, 2018.  

  • Teach Children to Save is a free national program sponsored by the ABA Foundation that organizes banker volunteers throughout the year to help young people develop a savings habit early in life. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event, which will be held Friday, April 20, 2018.
