WHAT WE DO:
Bank of America is one of the world's largest financial institutions, serving half of American households and individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services. Bank of America is proud to provide products, tools and educational resources to empower our customers when it comes to taking control of their finances—helping our customers achieve their financial goals now and into the future. We believe the best place to start with a firm financial footing is when you open your first account. That’s why financial education is the cornerstone of our young adult banking products.
WHAT WE OFFER:
In late 2009, Bank of America unveiled the newly redesigned www.bankofamerica.com/moneyskills, an interactive Web site that provides a “next step” transition point from the on-campus programs. The Web site is a great resource for young adults who want more financial tools, information, and continued guidance around financial management. The site was updated with a new look, new interactive features, and an educators’ tab with links to our other programs.
Since these programs were first launched, we have reached over 5 million students, young adults, and parents with information on paying for college, developing smart money management skills and building good credit. In 2010, the Bank will launch our newest component the Ultimate Money Skills Workshop, which is a workshop version of our materials that can be taught in the community by our own Bank of America associates.
WHAT WE NEED:
Bank of America is committed to “building a financially educated world one student at a time.” Whether in classrooms, in after-school programs or through youth organizations, we strive to take our programs to more students throughout the country and raise awareness of our tools and resources among students and parents. We take pride in being a dedicated industry leader in financial education and will continue to deliver thorough and comprehensive financial education programs and resources that enable students to manage their money wisely.
