Amina Carter, Operations Manager

Amina CarterTurn on JavaScript! is the Operations Manager for the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy – a non-profit coalition of about 150 organizations that share a commitment to financial literacy, especially pre-kindergarten to college-aged students. The coalition also includes a network of 51 affiliated state coalitions.

At Jump$tart, Amina manages finance, event logistics and office administration. Amina joined the Jump$tart team in June 2015. Prior to Jump$tart, Amina worked for 14 years in the field of insurance and financial services in sales and marketing and organizational strategy and management where she helped build strong financial portfolios, manage client risk, and plan for life’s unexpected events. Amina’s personal commitment to the mission of Jump$tart started long before she joined the team. A strong proponent for personal financial literacy has led her to Jump$tart where she continues to execute the mission and serve the vision.

Amina was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and raised in Washington, DC. She currently is enrolled at the University of Maryland University College pursuing her degree in Management Studies.
