WHAT WE DO:
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields. With more than a quarter million members, FBLA-PBL has four national divisions:
Our mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Members enhance their business skills through a variety of co-curricular educational programs, including competitive events; member recognition and awards; and leadership training.
Conferences and Leadership Seminars
FBLA-PBL hosts three fall leadership conferences, with a capstone summer National Leadership Conference (NLC) that recognizes the nation’s most accomplished future business leaders. Members compete in individual and team competitive events, share their successes, and learn new ways to shape their career plans through educational workshops and exhibits.
As part of the NLC, a high-energy, intensive Institute for Leaders seminar focuses on Finance Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Career Success, and more.
Financial Literacy Programs and Partners
National Awards Program
FBLA-PBL competitive events provide an avenue for members to apply their classroom instruction to real-world business scenarios. Winners receive both national recognition and cash awards in events such as Personal Finance, Business Math, Economics, Financial Concepts, Banking and Financial Systems, Business Financial Plan, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics.
AICPA’s StartHereGoPlaces.com Program

Visa Inc. - Practical Money Skills

CFP Board of Standards LetsMakeAPlan.org Program
FBLA-PBL members are exposed to careers in financial planning with the “Let’s Make a Plan” program. The CFP Board’s new “Let’s Make a Plan” public awareness campaign encourages people to pull together their finances by working with a CFP® professional.

The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation helps FBLA-PBL advisers educate young people about insurance through teacher training workshops and teaching materials. The Griffith Insurance Educational Foundation is also providing free graduate credit or continuing credit hours to advisers that complete the Insurance Education Institute.
Stock Market Game
FBLA-PBL members are teaming up to invest a hypothetical $100,000 in stocks and funds to build a virtual investment portfolio through the Stock Market Game. They track and manage their investments over the course of 15 weeks.
Apple Federal Credit Union
Apple FCU provides a comprehensive curriculum to FBLA-PBL members so they can establish student-run credit unions in their schools.
Using H&R Block’s “Dollars & Sense” program, FBLA-PBL members immerse themselves in 18 real-life scenarios covering budgeting, credit scores, debt management, bill paying and more, in a fun environment.
WHAT WE NEED:
Want to help shape the next generation of business leaders? FBLA-PBL seeks workshop presenters, exhibitors and competitive event judges at our national conference in San Antonio next June.
In addition, we’d like to connect with corporate partners and sponsors that are interested in funding and providing innovative leadership and career opportunities for our students and advisers.
