 Jump$tart Coalition National Educators’ Conference

to Provide Teachers with Educational Resources About Money Management

On November 6-8, 2009, the nation’s leading advocate for youth financial literacy—the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy®—will conduct its first-ever national conference for the classroom teachers of personal finance. The forum will offer educators a hands-on opportunity to see, learn about, and try educational resources that can be integrated immediately into current lesson plans. FDIC Chairman, Sheila C. Bair will deliver the keynote address on Saturday morning; other highlights include Janet Bodnar, Editor, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine speaking at the Saturday luncheon.

Who:          Almost 300 classroom teachers from 46 states will attend the conference. In addition, Jump$tart partners and supporters will participate as panelists and exhibitors throughout the weekend forum.

What:         National conference for classroom teachers in personal finance is funded in part by a grant from Experian and offered in partnership with the National Education Association (NEA).

When:         Conference starts Friday, November 6 with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and ends on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 12:00 noon.
